Choosing the right GSM is the most critical decision when sourcing woven fusible interlining for suit manufacturers. India’s most recognised woven interlining grade. Full-front sherwani construction. Trade name: 111 quality. Double Ghoda’s top-selling SKU.
Maximum Structured
Heaviest ethnic formal wear, maximum body for fully structured construction.
Why Indians prefer 100+ GSM: International markets use 30–60 GSM for most garments. Indian ethnic formal wear — particularly sherwanis, bandgala and heavily structured suits — requires 100–150 GSM woven interlining for the structural support the garment demands. This is why Double Ghoda specifically stocks the complete heavy-weight range.

For suits and heavy ethnic formal wear, woven fusible interlining is always the correct choice. Non-woven is suitable only for smaller garment parts where structural rigidity is not required.
Non woven fusible interlining is used for precision stiffening of specific garment parts — not whole-garment structural support. Here are the most common applications in Indian garment production.
Full-front woven interlining for sherwani construction. The 111 quality is the industry-standard grade across Surat and North India's sherwani manufacturing clusters.
Full chest and front woven interlining for structured suits and blazers. Provides the shoulder and chest shape that defines a well-cut formal suit.
Heavy ethnic formal wear requiring strong woven interlining for shape retention through events and repeated dry cleaning.
Men's and women's formal jacket construction. Front panels, collar area and small parts — woven fusible interlining for the main body.
Full-front woven interlining for safari suit jackets. Structured but not as heavy as sherwani — 80–100 GSM gives the right weight and drape.
Heavy winter overcoat construction. Maximum GSM woven interlining for full structural support. Used by North India manufacturers for winter formal wear.
Applying woven fusible interlining in a production environment requires a flatbed or rotary fusing press set to correct temperature, time and pressure parameters. Below is the standard process used by garment manufacturers when applying Double Ghoda’s woven interlining.
Cut the woven fusible interlining to match your fabric panel shape
PA-coated side (rougher side) faces the wrong side of the fashion fabric
125–145°C · 18–25 sec · 1.5–2.5 kg/cm² on a flatbed fusing press
Allow to cool fully before handling. Check bond — no bubbles or peeling

Most factories order non woven alongside woven interlining — one for the garment body, one for the construction details.
30–150 GSM · PA double-dot · 50m rolls. The body fusing for suits, blazers and sherwanis. Ordered together with non-woven by most formal wear manufacturers — woven for the body, non-woven for small parts.
Specialist collar interlining for structured shirt and jacket collars. A step up from standard non woven — stiffer, more defined collar shape for formal garments.
Jacquard, Satin, Taffeta · 55–85 GSM · 45m rolls. The interior finishing layer for suits, blazers and sherwanis. Hides the interlining and tailoring work, adds a clean finish.
When you order fusible interlining wholesale in India, specify the fabric type, required GSM, construction or coating, width, roll requirements, quantity, and intended garment application.
A fusing test is a small-scale trial that checks whether an interlining bonds properly with your actual outer fabric before you commit material to bulk
For B2B buyers, the right polyester lining fabric specification depends on your garment, the weight you need, the weave, the width, your roll requirements, and
Common questions from garment manufacturers, suit factories and sherwani makers about woven fusible interlining, woven interlining grades and application specifications.
Woven fusible interlining is a polyester fabric woven from yarns in both warp and weft directions, coated with PA thermoplastic adhesive. Its woven structure makes it significantly stronger, more durable and better at retaining garment shape than non-woven. Non-woven interlining is made by bonding loose fibres — lighter and cheaper, but with lower structural performance. Use woven for suits, blazers and sherwanis. Use non-woven for collars, cuffs and lighter garment parts.
111 quality is a trade-recognised name for 140 GSM woven fusible interlining, used across India’s sherwani manufacturing clusters — particularly in Surat and Delhi. The name identifies a specific weight, hand-feel and bonding performance that buyers recognise by quality number. Double Ghoda’s 111 quality is our top-selling SKU, stocked specifically for full-front sherwani construction with PA double-dot coating.
For sherwanis: use 140 GSM (111 quality) woven fusible interlining for full-front construction. For suits and blazers: 80–120 GSM is standard depending on fabric weight. For bandgala / Nehru jackets: 100–130 GSM. For safari suits: 80–100 GSM. For woollen overcoats: 120–150 GSM. Indian manufacturers consistently choose heavier woven interlining grades than international standard because ethnic formal wear demands higher structural rigidity.
PA stands for polyamide — the thermoplastic adhesive used to coat woven fusible interlining. Double-dot refers to the scatter pattern in which the adhesive is applied: two coats of adhesive dots are applied in a staggered pattern, increasing surface coverage compared to single-dot grades. This results in faster bonding (18–25 seconds), stronger bonds and better resistance to delamination after washing and dry cleaning — critical for heavy ethnic formal wear.
The minimum order quantity for woven fusible interlining wholesale India from Double Ghoda is 1,000 meters. We are a B2B wholesale supplier only — we do not sell to individual tailors or retail buyers. Woven interlining is supplied in 50m rolls (6 rolls per bale). Contact us for pricing — we provide written quotations with per-meter rate, freight terms and delivery timeline.
150 GSM woven interlining is our heaviest grade — used for maximum structural construction in heavy ethnic formal wear including heavily embroidered sherwanis, woollen overcoats and fully structured jackets. It provides the firmest hand and highest body, and is specified by manufacturers who require maximum shape retention even after heavy embroidery work is added to the garment.
